IBRAHIM HARRANE

I am a very driven and passionate individual with a range of skills relating to research and Engineering. Over the last 8 years, I have been studying this field with the aim to continue my career in the scientific research or R&D fields.

I have developed many skills such as presenting, both written and verbal communication in three different languages, allowing me to share my academic findings to a varied audience. I have complimented these skills with my management training for both personnel and professional development.  This has enabled me to work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Cote d’Azur Observatory and University. 

Over the last few years, I have worked on several projects. My PhD research work focused on distributed estimation over networks, it is a highly relevant topic, especially with the rise of IoT and smart devices. Then I worked on X-ray image restriction using tetrahedral meshes and how to optimise their size based on the estimation error. I am now currently working on Outlier detection using autoencoders and various ML technics in CT volumes. 

During my PhD, I worked on distributed learning over networks. Instead of relying on a conventional centralized method where Data is aggregated and treated in one place, we treat data locally on smaller, less powerful and energy-demanding devices called agents. They then communicate with each other and enhance the optimisation.

With this distributed method, we have new challenges as energy consumption, privacy, and data size. I have proposed solutions for these challenges using RMT, data sanitization and compression methods
