About Kate Gleeson:

Highly motivated and enthusiastic student with a vast amount of experience working with new people and a great interest in working with young people in particular, from assisting in their development of new skills to coordinating lessons.
With organisation as one of my greatest skills, I work efficiently and proactively in the workplace, striving to exceed company standards and provide a thoroughly enjoyable customer experience. Strong leadership skills exercised through my various volunteering roles which have allowed me to demonstrate my initiative and reliability. 
I am looking to gain further experience in language teaching by carrying out a placement teaching English in a school in Seville, Spain.

Client Support at Shared Digital, London. May-June 2018 - Worked in a high-paced corporate ICT environment managing asset distribution providing services to staff. Dealt with clients 1-1 ensuring their queries were handled efficiently.Handled the organising and scheduling of meetings and product arrivals for the department.
Spanish Teaching Assistant, Acland Burghley School. September 2019 – March 2020 Volunteered in Spanish classes in a local secondary school for 12–15-year-olds. Utilised my passion for working with young people and my love of Spanish to assist younger students in developing their language skills.
Uganda Community Development Project, The Great Generation. November 2019 – July 2021. Organised and fundraised a community development project in Jinja, Uganda as a group with my peers in order to help on a local scale and work directly with people living in challenging conditions. Due to Covid-19 we were unable to physically implement our project on the ground, but we donated all the money fundraised to help refurbish libraries, provide learning resources, educate locals about efficient gardening methods, install water pumps, hold lessons for local children including lessons for female pupils about managing their menstruation.
Youth Education Officer, Virtual Work Experience. June – July 2020
Devised and co-ordinated an educational workshop to supplement curriculum content for young children and facilitate a level of empathy within them about prominent topical issues. Demonstrated leadership and adaptability within teamwork to ensure required deadlines were met and tasks were completed to the highest standard.
Waitress, Intercontinental Edinburgh the George, an IHG Hotel. October 2021 – Present
I provide excellent and efficient customer service in a five-star luxury hotel. Alongside my studies, I have worked here for over a year in which I have demonstrated my dependability, reliability, teamwork skills and my ability to work closely and effectively with others in a professional capacity.
