  • Stock Control/Cellar- ensuring orders are placed on time and delivered in full.
  • Organise Events, i.e live bands, party events
  • Manage Staff’s Rotas
  • Training new bar staff to ensure good customer service

2016-2017

I worked as a payroll administrator for a small company in Badbury. My role is providing payroll services for other companies. My day-to-day duties includes

  • Checking how many hours employees have worked
  • Calculating and issuing pay by cash, cheque or electronic transfer
  • Deducting tax and national insurance payments
  • Processing holiday, sick and maternity pay, and expenses
  • Calculating overtime, shift payments and pay increases
  • Answering staff queries about timesheets or pay slips
  • Issuing P45s and other tax forms

2012-2016

Started working at The George Inn at Kempsford as a waitress and barmaid. At this time I was still studying my courses at 6th form. After 1 year of working in the business I achieved a personal license as well as cellar license. I got promoted to Bar Manager. This gave me the ability to ensure the organisation of the business was in order, train staff, maintain payroll, stock and organise events.

2009-2012

Worked weekends in a hair salon for 3 years. Within that time period I was able to prepare and style clients hair. Doing this helped with becoming more confident with cooperating with the clients and creating a welcoming atmosphere. I then experienced working at the reception desk, which involved organising timetables for all stylists, answering phone calls, communicating with clients and taking payments.

During 2011 I volunteered to go and work as a helper for a holiday camp for a week for people with physical and mental disabilities. This was a huge responsibility but a pleasure to work in such a friendly positive environment. A team of us prepared food and activities throughout the week to ensure everyone enjoyed every minute at the camp.

University was an opportunity for me, but at the time I wanted to earn my own money, not be in debt plus I loved the job and it fitted around with my family and social life.

After saving a lot of money I adventured off to travel around Australia for 6 months. This really opened my mind for bigger inspirations in life. I worked in Melbourne/Sydney and the gold coast as a barmaid. It was great to work with different people and their expertise. Now that my travelling is done, I am looking for a professional career where I can show my proficiency and enthusiasm.

I am very knowledgeable with all Microsoft programs- Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Also designed numerous websites with all different intentions. Also competent in working with Photoshop.
