About Sophia Dukhota:

I recently graduated from Coventry University with a 2:1 Bachelor's in Computer Science and now am actively seeking work in software development. 

Experience

I have successfully implemented two projects (see below) using modern frameworks, creating fully functional web and  mobile applications with common features like secure login, theme customisation and the ability to search/view/update data stored in a database. 

  • A web application that allows the user to create, view and search through their favourite media moments
  • The web client which is based on WebAssembly Blazor provides a UI allowing the user to browse, search, add and modify the application data (media bookmarks). The client communicates with the application server via HTTP (JSON payload) and uses Bootstrap to style the screen.
  • The application server is implemented in C# as a .NET Core app and is hosted in Microsoft Azure App Service.
  • Azure SQL Server database is used as the data storage.
  • The app is deployed to Azure  using Azure DevOps build and release pipelines. 
  • Source code is hosted in Microsoft DevOps repository with no public access - however,  can be shown on request. Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 was used for development.

A university project with the aim to learn the MAUI framework:

  • A mobile application that allows the user to login, search and view recipes from a public server.
  • The mobile app is based on MAUI with MVVM structure. The app communicates with the server API via HTTPS (JSON payload).
  • Login is implemented via Auth0 for secure access and user management.
  • Search feature sends an API call, the results of which are then parsed and presented in a search results view.
  • When a user clicks on a specific recipe from the search results view, the app makes another API call requesting recipe details which are then presented in a recipe details  view.
  • Source code is hosted in a Github Repository. Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 was used for development.
