    Description
    Service Engineer
    • RefrigerationPlymouthPermanent£38,000 £48,000 + overtime, bonus and benefits.
    The ClientOur client specialises in refrigeration systems and provides sales and technical support across the UK and Ireland.

    They are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer with a strong background to work autonomously across the Devon and Cornwall region, responsible for the service and repair of various industrial and commercial refrigeration units,Key Responsibilities:

    • Conducting reactive service & planned maintenance of heavy commercial refrigeration systems.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
    • Perform routine planned inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential problems and prevent costly breakdowns.
    • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to explain plant issues, proposed solutions, and offer expert advice on equipment maintenance and system efficiency.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all tasks and operations.
    • Keep up-to-date records of work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs.

    Key Skills:

    • Strong background in refrigeration with comprehensive knowledge of refrigeration systems.
    • FGAS 2079 (essential)
    • Full U/k driving licence
    • Strong self-confidence and assurance.
    • City and Guilds Level 1,2 and 3 in Refrigeration and air-conditioning (desirable).
    • Analytical and technically inclined mindset.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
