    Service Engineer - Refrigeration
    Plymouth
    Permanent
    £38,000 - £48,000 + overtime, bonus and benefits.
    The Client
    Our client specialises in refrigeration systems and provides sales and technical support across the UK and Ireland. They are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer with a strong background to work autonomously across the Devon and Cornwall region, responsible for the service and repair of various industrial and commercial refrigeration units,

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conducting reactive service & planned maintenance of heavy commercial refrigeration systems.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
    • Perform routine planned inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential problems and prevent costly breakdowns.
    • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to explain plant issues, proposed solutions, and offer expert advice on equipment maintenance and system efficiency.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all tasks and operations.
    • Keep up-to-date records of work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs.

    Key Skills:

    • Strong background in refrigeration with comprehensive knowledge of refrigeration systems.
    • FGAS 2079 (essential)
    • Full U/k driving licence
    • Strong self-confidence and assurance.
    • City and Guilds Level 1,2 and 3 in Refrigeration and air-conditioning (desirable).
    • Analytical and technically inclined mindset.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Assertive, professional, friendly, and approachable demeanour
    The Rewards
    The company are willing to offer a competitive salary in the region of £38,000 - £48,000 + overtime and strong benefits package including company vehicle, annual bonus, private healthcare, life assurance, 25 days holiday + stats, pension and other flexible benefits
