Description
We are looking for a Finance Support Assistant to work as part of the Finance Support team.

In this role you will assist the business units with day-to-day financial requirements to meet client and supplier deadlines ensuring processes are adhered to and SLAs are met.

Work location is remote, Manchester or Ashby-de-la-zouch.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing high volumes of documentation related to Banks, Accounts Payables and Expenses
  • Ensuring documentation is stored accurately to ensure the smooth facilitation of internal and external audits.
  • Post incoming & outgoing cash transactions
  • Allocating incoming cash with assistance from credit controller
  • Producing bank reconciliation and resolving any associated queries
  • Receive, review and post incoming purchase invoices
  • Assist with preparing weekly payment run
  • Process delegate expenses
  • Auditing company credit card submissions
  • Processing company personal expense submissions
  • Providing cover for other finance support assistants during periods of leave
  • Efficiently and professionally respond to internal and external queries, raising other team members awareness where necessary
  • Run reports and provide analysis to management as required
  • To continually strive to ensure our processes are as efficient as possible and constantly seek to improve areas which are not
  • Participate and support the culture of TCEG/AEE
  • Adhere to TCEG/AEE's business code of conduct and comply with all regulatory Company policies and procedures

Key Skill Requirements:

  • Effective and professional communication skills both internally and externally
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise own workload within set deadlines
  • Proficient with the company's financial processes
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Numeracy and commercial awareness
  • Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ideally Oracle
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A cando attitude, not afraid to get stuck in
  • A genuine interest in accounting and an investigative mind to be able to spot abnormalities
  • Adaptability, able to cover other team members if needed
  • Display a strong sense of initiative to be able to work independently and assess what tasks should take priority

Qualification Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent Mathematics and English required (Grade C or above)
  • Previous experience in a financial role would be beneficial but not essential
