- Providing business support for the DASP Board meetings, and associated subgroup meetings as required.
- Providing routine and non-routine information and data, including manipulation, analysis and presentation as required to inform operational decisions, maintaining budgetary control and report on performance and practice.
- Managing the effective processing of income and expenditure relating to the SSMTRG and provide support and advice to managers delivering specialist services to ensure compliance with County Council Financial and Procurement regulations and processes and appropriate EU legislation.
- Providing clear advice and guidance to internal and external customers and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Providing an active role in delivering successful outcomes, including the planning and coordination of a range of complex activities / projects, and ensure own and board/sub-groups performances, objectives, targets and timescales are met.
- Providing advice and guidance to management on a range of business services functions including use of Microsoft Teams, reporting systems, communications including website management and social media.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide business support within the Substance Use Team.
We are looking to appoint a business services officer to provide a high quality and effective administrative support service to senior managers and employees on a broad range of business services activities supporting the activity of the Derby and Derbyshire Drug and Alcohol Strategic Partnership (DASP), its place-based subgroups, and specifically around the administration of the Derbyshire Supplemental Substance Misuse Treatment and Recovery Grant (SSMTRG).
The post holder will provide advice and guidance on all appropriate DASP policies and procedures and will utilise their knowledge and expertise to resolve complex issues in relation to the delivery and needs of the local grant funding.
The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be capable of dealing with contacts at all levels with other Council departments, elected members, internal and external customers and members of the public. Applicants must be able to work as part of a team and have a strong customer focus. You will be required to use your initiative and to work unsupervised.
The successful applicant must be numerate, flexible, possess good interpersonal skills, and able to organise and prioritise their own workload to meet strict deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential requirements of the post. The post holder should have excellent communication skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
