Description

Our client, a global health and wellness communications network, are looking for a Finance Analyst to join their team on a 12 month FTC.

You'll be working as part of our Finance team and key managers in our UK agencies and working directly on-site withinthe agencies.

The main purpose of this role will be to provide commercial, financial and operational support to the agency, Senior Finance Manager and Senior Commercial Controller.

You will be responsible for financial and client reporting and maintaining a strong commercial focus across financial operations.

Our agencies are always fast-paced and our clients only expect the best from us.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be a self-starter and someone who's used to working in an autonomous Style.

You must be able to work independently and still collaborateinternally. Relevant experience within a similar role is essential.

You'll have a varied role which will involve managing multiple stakeholders and working closely with the Senior Finance Manager and Senior Commercial Controller, General Managers and theirrespective SLT at all times, so you'll need to be proactive, thinking about future needs and keeping one step ahead.


Commercial Finance Expertise:

  • Supports the commercial team in selectively gathering relevant financial information to analyse financial results
  • Reviewing billability with relevant department heads
  • Translates financial information and analysis on revenue and profitability into actionable steps for client teams to drive better results
  • Emerging ability to identify potential problems in existing environment and provide solutions before they manifest themselves in material financial results

  • Supports the Account Handling team in selectively gathering relevant financial information to analyse financial results, including the Burn report and ad hoc analysis as required
  • Works closely with Account Handlers in reviewing and forecasting revenue
  • Assists with training the Account Handling team in financial and revenue recognition processes
  • Reviews and assists Account Handlers as required with SOWs and Excel spreadsheets
  • New client contract internal implementation
  • Supports the monthend process and reporting cycles, producing relevant budgetary information
  • Draft agency monthly management packs and be able to respond to any queries linked to the management packs
  • Take responsibility for the forecasting and budgeting process for revenue for 2 agencies and provide variance analysis where required
  • Prepares and manage rate cards as appropriate
  • Monitor WIP posting and invoicing
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and industry to develop and evaluate agency financial processes and controls
  • Works with internal and external auditors gathering and providing necessary information

Core Skills:

  • You'll have prior experience in a similar position, operating at a Finance Analyst level
  • You will need to be ACA, CIMA or ACCA part qualified with recent exam success, or be a highly experienced finance professional with significant experience of client finance within a marketing/advertising/creative agency
  • You'll have an emerging ability to identify potential problems in existing environment and provide solutions before they manifest themselves in material financial results
  • We are ideally looking for experience of working within a marketing/advertising/creative agency or similar industry
  • You'll be personable, a good communicator, engaging and have the ability to develop internal relationships and present with a powerful, persuasive style
  • You should be able to demonstrate grace when working under pressure or to tight deadlines
  • You should have demonstrable experience of flexibility when working across multiplebusiness units
