- Leads development integration and documentationof structural requirements to establish the system design.
- Coordinates with otherengineering groups to establish the products environment.
- Guides product designand verifies structural integrity by using and developinganalytical methods finite element models/simulations and otheranalysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop thestructural environment characteristics and performance.
- Leads development of test plans andconfigurations supports test execution and analyzes/reports testresults to validate and verify systems and components meetrequirements and specifications.
- Defines and documents certification and test results tosubstantiate for customers and regulatory agencies thatrequirements are satisfied.
- Supports inservice products by leading investigations intofailures and analyzing improvements.
- Develops analytical processes/tools to improveeffectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effort.
- Works under minimaldirection.
- Work statementis a nonmanagerial role nonleadership role.
- Education/experience typicallyacquired through advanced technical education from an accreditedcourse of study in engineering computer science mathematics physicsor chemistry (e.g. Bachelor).
- 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalentcombination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 yearsrelated work experience Master7 years related work experience).
- In the USA ABETaccreditation is the preferred although not required accreditationstandard.
- CommercialAirplanes structural and fatigue experience
- 12 years experience using tools such as NASTRAN/ PATRAN CSW IAS CASTLE and Excel/VBA
- Composite wing experience ispreferred.
- MRB /stressliaison experience is a plus.
