Financial Operations Assistant
We're hiring for a new Financial Operations Assistant to join our team.


About the role


This role is to be a valued member of the Finance Operations Team, ensuring tasks are dealt with to meet deadlines and within SLA's and to ensure that quality and compliance standards are consistently met in order to achieve customer and business needs in an operationally effective manner.


The role will require client accounts to be reconciled accurately, timely and within SLA /procedures for all transactions relating to insurers, funding and customer monies.

This will include reconciling payments from third party premium providers.

The role will also require insurer bordereaux to be prepared on a timely basis each month, client refunds to be calculated and processed and other ad hoc payments to be processed as required.


You will provide professional and efficient support in a multi-skilled environment to Internal and External customers including but not limited to Customers, Insurers and Contact Centres and ensure that quality and compliance standards are consistently met in order to achieve customer and business needs in an operationally effective manner.


You should have the following skills and experience:

  • Team player as well as the ability to work autonomously
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate and have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Willingness to share knowledge and skills with members of the team through coaching and mentoring
  • A selfstarter, motivated and capable of working with minimum supervision
  • Excellent communication and feedback skills with external contacts and all levels of staff
  • The ability to probe and assimilate information to check accuracy and relevance when building a full picture in respect of tasks and issues
  • Excellent time management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and habit of producing output which is accurate first time

Desirable skills:

  • Practical experience of similar businesses within the Financial Services Sector, with reference to General Insurance
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment
  • Experience of financial reporting systems (Dynamics 365, SUN, Xero)
