VisionFR is working with an international digital specialist consultancy of about 120 staff looking for an aspiring FC - This is likely to be your first FC position coming from either Practice or a Digital agency (creative agency) whereyou have been the Management accountant. You will be keen to learn and take on additional responsibility and start to manage a small team. You will work closely with the Group CFO to provide financial and management information to help maintain a healthy business.

Key responsibilities of the
Financial Controller

Working with external accountants
Statutory Reporting & Compliance
Making sure accounts (currently Xero) are kept up to date
Responsible for month end closure at group level (Fathom)
Management Accounts at an entity and group level including narrative and commentary
Month end variances, to budget and prior year
Remaining year forecasting
Variance reports including analysis
Intercompany maintenance across the group
Dividend accounting
R&D Tax Credits
Budget Management including regular meetings with budget holders
Maintaining a fixed asset register on Xero
Ad Hoc reporting and information gathering, as and when requested.
Financial support across all of group
Special projects related to increasing efficiency using smart processes and tools

The
Financial Controller will have the following skills/experience:

From a Digital or Marketing agency is desirable
Qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
A good working knowledge of Xero (and Fathom) would be an advantage
Knowledge of accounting principles and general tax rules
A proven track record in a varied, rounded finance role
Extensive problem solving, organisational skills whilst managing deadlines
Must enjoy working in a fastpaced environment
A great facilitator who enjoys making decisions and works well under changing priorities
