This is an exciting time to join the People Directorate at Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust.

We are implementing a new rostering system and building our rostering team to support this exciting development in our resourcing systems.

You will join the Resourcing function consisting of the e-roster, temporary staffing and recruitment teams.

You will lead this exciting project to implement the rostering system, working with existing teams and operational managers. You will have experience of Healthroster systems and of implementing and managing large scale organisational projects.

This will involve the production of plans and documentation through the project lifecycle, ensuring all identified objectives are met, risks are managed and benefits released.


With excellent time management and communication skills you will engage with clinical teams, service managers and senior leaders across the Trust.

You will also have experience of developing, delivering and evaluating training and development in support of projects. You will be supported by a new and dynamic team to this project to a successful implementation.


The post holder provides organisational wide leadership and guidance for all aspects of the implementation of E-Rostering across the Trust.

This will involve providing support and advice to frontline staff in new ways of working using an E-Rostering system.


The post holder will lead the implementation of the E-Rostering system by preparing the teams for go-live and delivering training to Managers, Team leaders and staff responsible for rostering.


This will include:

Facilitating, training, coaching and supporting managers / end users in the delivery of the project in conjunction with the system suppliers

Producing high standards of project documentation as required.


A requirement to develop and implement the local analysis and management of KPIs from the system to deliver the identified business benefits.


Provide leadership and guidance for delivering and supporting the E-Rostering system while ensuring that the project is delivered in a timely and professional manner.

Responsible for the delivery of performance targets including activity, governance and workforce, and others as applicable.


Working closely with the relevant managers and leads to provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure services continue to improve and develop.


Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust provides community-based health services for adults and children in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and some services in surrounding areas too.

These range from district nursing, health visiting and running four community hospitals through to providing very specialist community care through talented and dedicated staff.
