Fundraising and Events Coordinator - London, United Kingdom - Sportandrecreation
Description
Access Sport is a national charity with a vision that no one should be excluded from the transformational benefits of community sport. We are on a mission to make inclusion the norm in community sport by tackling the access barriers faced by disadvantaged and disabled young people.
We do this by training, equipping, and supporting community sports clubs, organisations, and volunteers to provide inclusive programmes, unleashing their potential to transform the lives of underserved young people in their local communities.
This work is either place based, Changing Places, or sport focused, Changing Sports. All the clubs we support are invited to join our Inclusive Club Network. We then use the expertise gained through this work to effect System Change
About the Role
Access Sport income has grown by 62% in the last two years and is set for further growth over the next three years as we implement our Stand for Inclusion growth strategy. Core income streams include trusts and foundations, statutory funding, corporate partnerships, special events and challenge events. We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to support the team to achieve this growth.
Whether this is your first role in fundraising, or you are looking to use skills already learnt to join an exciting and growing charity, you will have the scope to develop in a varied role, giving you the opportunity to have a big impact. It's an incredibly exciting time for the charity with plenty of opportunity to learn, grow and make a big difference to young people's lives.
The role will include Fundraising Support, Events Support, Corporate Volunteering Support, Communication and collaboration and Administration.
About You
We are seeking someone with the ability to become an effective fundraiser in a busy environment. Adaptability, the ability to work across teams, and a willingness to get stuck in, are key.
Skills/ experience
• Experience of volunteering or working in a charity in a fundraising capacity.
• Demonstratable experience of supporting others to achieve their goals in a voluntary working environment.
• Experience of developing productive relationships in any working environment.
• Experience of working collaboratively with multiple teams across an organisation.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Flexibility - To work effectively in a changing environment, flexibility is required from the post-holder. Any other tasks that may be requested will be at the same level of responsibility and terms and conditions of employment. The role will require some travel for partner meetings, conferences and to different Access Sport offices, as well as occasional unsocial hours including evenings and weekends
