    Description

    Our client school is looking for a Year 1teacher based in the heart of Westminster This is an opportunityto work within an amazing primary school in West London. The schoolis looking to appoint a class teacher who will enjoy teaching anacademic yet creative topicbased curriculum in a school withexceptional pastoral care. This is an exciting opportunity for youto work in a supportive environment with brilliant facilities andresources.

    Year 1 Teacherresponsibilities:

    • Planprepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons to Year 1students using creativity and innovation to keep the studentsengaged.
    • Assess andevaluate student progress providing formal and informal feedback tostudents andparents.
    • Collaborate withcolleagues to plan prepare and participate in school eventsincluding extracurricularactivities.
    • Establish andmaintain open and positive communication with students parents andcolleagues.
    • Utilise astudentcentered approach to teaching encouraging independentthinking andproblemsolving.
    • Incorporateinclusive practices into teaching approaches recognising thediverse needs ofstudents.
    • Ensure accuraterecordkeeping including attendance records and student data in linewith the schoolspolicies.

    Year 1Teacherrequirements:

    • QTS PGCEand strong academic record
    • Experience teachingkey stage 1 students.
    • Knowledge andunderstanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage1.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbaland written.
    • Highly organised and able tomanage competing demandseffectively.
    • Demonstrated ability to workeffectively as part of a team.
    • Passionate aboutteaching and creating a positive learningenvironment.

    Salary

    Thesalary for this Year 1 position will be paid to scale on apermanent contract to scaleMPS/UPS.
