    History Teacher

    Are you an experienced History Teacher looking for a rewarding full time opportunity in a supportive and outstanding school environment? This Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' independent school, located in Wolverhampton, is currently seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join their experienced department.

    Position:     History Teacher (KS3-KS5)
    Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands
    Start Date: Immediate
    Contract: Until end of academic year
    Salary: £155 - £250

The History department is experienced and dedicated, with outstanding leadership that supports the professional growth of all staff members.

    Role Overview:     As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and informative History lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5. You will have the opportunity to inspire a passion for History and support students in their academic journey. Knowledge of Key Stage 5 History is desirable but not essential. This role is vital in contributing to the continued success of our school and the achievement of our students.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 to 5.
    • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
    • Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students and facilitate their progress.
    • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to support their development.
    • Collaborate with colleagues within the History department to share best practices and resources.
    Requirements:
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    • Proven experience teaching History across Key Stages 3 to 5.
    • Knowledge of Key Stage 5 History is desirable but not essential.
    • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History education.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
