- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 software, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather project scope, objectives, and constraints for effective schedule development.
- Conduct schedule analysis, identify critical paths, and propose strategies to optimize project timelines and resource utilization.
- Monitor project progress and performance against established schedules, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
- Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues affecting project schedules.
- Work collaboratively with the project team to ensure schedule integration with cost control, risk management, and procurement activities.
- Support project planning activities from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 6 years) in project planning and scheduling, particularly within high-voltage grid projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 software for schedule development and management.
- In-depth knowledge of HV grid infrastructure, including substations, transmission lines, and related equipment.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project data and make informed scheduling decisions.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to HV grid projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience working on projects for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) or similar utility companies.
- Familiarity with other project management tools and software applications.
