Part time 0.6 wte working within the Community Intensive Home Treatment Team.Are you passionate about working with Older People? We have an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist within the Mental Health Services for Older People Directorate who has these values.
This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust.
The IHTT provide community-based multi-disciplinary assessments and treatments for people of any age suffering from dementia and those people over the age of 65 years who are experiencing mental health problems, as well as supporting their carers.
Having a positive attitude towards working with people with mental health problems is essential.It is not essential to have worked in this environment previously - there will be opportunity to grow and expand your mental health skills being supported by dedicated senior staff including a Physiotherapy Clinical Specialist.
Role of Physiotherapy in the communityFalls risk assessment and implementing plans to decrease risk of falling.
Assessment and treatment of specific musculoskeletal complaints.
To encourage and facilitate regular physical activity to benefit physical and mental health and well-being.

BSc / Diploma Physiotherapy
Relevant CPD in relation to mental health, dementia and older people

Proven post qualification experience with some at a more senior level
