Are you the right person for the job?
-3-5 years experience of management and or supervisory roles in either Ofsted or CQC regulated provisions
Evidence of managing care teams and young people
Leadership and motivation skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Initiative, experience in monitoring, recording, and reporting
Budget management skills
National Minimum Standards Residential Childrens Homes
Understanding of teamwork principles
Familiarity with relevant legislation, child development, and recruitment principles
Awareness of equal opportunities and children in public care needs
-Maintain your teams safer recruitment files, meeting all expectations and the standards required
Support the wider Senior Management Team and Head Office
Qualifications
GCSE standard or equivalent education
ILM5/NVQ 4 Children and Young People or equivalent (or willing to study)
Relevant professional qualifications (DipSW/DMS/CQSW/RMA or equivalent)
Full UK Driving Licence
Your role will include, but not be limited to
The overall responsibility for care team members, including effective delegation
Monitor and manage labour costs, staffing structures, and rosters in line with allocated budgets
Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, GBA Care structure, and external agencies
Ensure adherence to policies, Children's Legislation, and Regulations
Implement intervention strategies for behaviour management
Lead timely meetings and reviews for children and care team members
Ensure individual care planning requirements are effectively delivered
Uphold high standards of care, maintaining the Company's reputation
Provide accessible information on support agencies for children's well-being
Oversee the therapeutic element in collaboration with CCATS
Foster an open culture for children to voice concerns
Promote diversity awareness and celebrate cultural differences
Manage financial, payroll, and staffing administration within deadlines
Collaborate with Head Office on employee relations and comply with employment legislation
Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection regulations
Conduct training programs for care team members
Supervise and support care team members, promoting professional development
Deliver safe, structured, and nurturing environments for children
Safeguard and protect the health and well-being of children
Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures
What can you expect in return?
You will be actively involved in a therapeutic partnership. This will present you with a unique opportunity to develop, train and build relationships with Coastal Child and Adult therapeutic Services.
Through this partnership you will have reflective practice, unique and bespoke training and be able to develop professional sight of the therapeutic element.
