    Senior Planning Officer Job Ref:

    Pay Rate:

    Up to £20.22 per hour PAYE depending on experience Hours per week: 36.25 Monday – Friday, 9am to 4.

    45pm

    Role Length:

    This opening assignment is for 2-3 months City: Coalville, Leicestershire The purpose of the role is to supervise the work of the Planning Officers/Planning Technicians, ensuring that the work is properly distributed, that deadlines are met and that any problems/issues are brought to the attention of the Planning and Development Team Manager or in their absence to the Principal Planning and Customer Liaison Officer.

    To assess and make recommendations upon all types of planning and related applications within an allocated part of the local authority's area.

    Attend the Council's Planning Committee meetings, public meetings and liaison committee meetings including meetings outside normal office hours as may be required.

    To advise members of the public on planning matters and to provide pre-application advice within an allocated part of the local authority's area.
