    Position Details:

    • Job Title: Head/Sales Director of Payments UKI and Nordics
    • Territory: UK, Ireland and Nordics
    • Base Location: UK
    • Reporting Relations: Reports to Head of Business Development UK / Ireland / Nordics
    • Language Capability: Fluent in English for business communication, another EU language is a plus.

    Responsibilities: As the Head of Payments UKI and Nordics, you will be responsible for:

    • Identifying and implementing partnerships with financial institutions to build a best-in-class payment acquiring offering based on Android technology.
    • Developing, overseeing, and managing the payments' alliances in the given perimeter
    • Organising community linking payment customers with other Sunmi markets such as ECR/Point-of-sales, auto-ID, etc
    • Serving as the key product owner for the entire payment value chain, from merchant onboarding to payment processing and risk management.
    • Leading a cross-functional team across Engineering, Product, and Compliance.
    • Building a scalable payment infrastructure and product across UK, Ireland and Nordics.
    • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders, including acquiring banks, card schemes, payment networks, POS terminal vendors, and merchants.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Convincing and leading by example, collaborating closely with the regional team to build a local market presence.
    • Identifying and developing business growth opportunities, especially with banks, premium retailers, channels, PSPs, ISVs, and SAAS companies.
    • Setting up a new organizational structure in Sales, Marketing, and Service to support stable growth.
    • Managing an interdisciplinary network of organizations on an international level.
    • Continuously improving local co-operation and joint product development.
    • Participating in the overall strategic planning process for the local market.
    • Developing association strategies and standard strategies to align with SUNMI group interests.
    • Contributing to operational marketing, sales, and service strategies.
    • Gathering relevant business information on competitors and identifying business opportunities.
    • Providing marketing strategies and measures to achieve market objectives, sales targets, and market share targets.
    • Managing Group-wide strategic projects as required.
    • Ensuring compliance with all SUNMI group regulations and directives.

    Qualifications: The successful candidate should possess:

    • minimum 5 years of experience in payment processing/acquiring within financial institutions, payment service providers, and/or fintech organizations.
    • Strong understanding of both POS and online payments, with experience in POS terminals and the payment facilitator model being a strong plus.
    • A proven track record of leading complex payment projects to completion.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements (PCI, EMV, Payment Services Act, etc.).
    • A firm technical understanding of payment infrastructure and the value chain.
    • An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on execution.
    • Successful sales experience in the IT hardware domain in UK and/or Ireland and/or Nordics.
    • Payment industry sales experience is a plus.
    • Good technical skills or knowledge, including hardware, software, and cloud-based applications (SaaS).
    • Experience in project management.
    • Leadership skills and the ability to interface with C-level executives (CTO/COO/CEO) and working-level professionals.
    • Problem-solving mindset.
