    Joining Waterman Aspen as a Senior Highways Engineer (Area Manager Position) will see you as a Leading member of the Northwest Highways team and you can expect: Career development and training to reach your professional or academic qualification goals supported by our own network of mentors and managersPersonal Progression Plan and reviewManagement Training Plan Maintain your technical skills through secondment with a choice of clients and projects to work on 3 or 4 days a weekSupport from clients to assist in your technical progression Further integration within your chosen discipline and industry to increasing your awareness, knowledge and sharpening your skills The flexibility to broaden your horizons with each new secondment, without changing your employerPaid subscription to a professional body of your choice Regular social events and volunteering opportunities Experience required


    Essential:
    Eligibility to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence and able to drive (travel to non-public transport offices for meetings will be part of this role)


    UK Highway design experience within a public, private or third sector UK based clientThe desire to be actively involved in the commercial side of our business making decisions on local P&L with the guidance of Associate and Regional DirectorsThe professional interest to support and manage remote staff members in their Progression Plans and day to day management.

    The social ability to develop client relations through phone calls, teams and attending meetings/networking events to market our brand and service.

    (training provided) To have strong and clear verbal and written communication skills To have the initiative in recruiting technically skilled professionals through online memberships and tools provided for you (training provided)Strong time management, people management and organisational skillsA professional approach amongst peers and colleagues Desirable:

    Qualification related to Civil or structural Engineering.
