    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, energetic and inspirationalMidwife to become a Deputy Midwifery Sisters for the Maternity Care Unit within the Maternity Services at UCLH on a fixed term 12-month contract.

    The successful post holder will be responsible for supporting the Maternity Care Unit (MCU) clinical teams to deliver an exemplary maternity service.

    We are an innovative, ambitious and forward-thinking clinical divisionand we are looking to appoint team members who can demonstrate enthusiasm and excellence in leadership and who possesses the skills, knowledge and commitment to deliver change and innovative ways of working with support from the senior team.

    The Deputy Midwifery Sister for MCU will work closely with, and report directly to the Senior Midwife for MCU and Midwifery Matron for Inpatient services.

    NMC Registered Midwife
    Evidence of continued professional Development
    Experience of teaching and mentoring more junior staff
    Understanding of clinical Governance and Risk Management

    Experience of audit and able to demonstrates awareness of audit and quality issues
    Experience of Quality assurance and improvement

    Advance IT and report writing skills, to include but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams
    Data collection and interpretation as required.
    Developing policies and protocols

    Demonstrates understanding of good practice in customer care
    Proven ability to motivate staff and improve performance, involving individuals and teams
