- Lead the deployment and operation of services in regions with specialized security needs.
- Report on the health of these services.

- Define and drive projects and report on their progress.
- Meet with customers to develop relationships and clarify requirements.
- Create and refine the staffing and support plan for these regions.

- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of relevant hands-on engineering and administrative experience in networking, network services, operating systems
- 3+ years of experience as the systems engineering and operations leader for an Internet service or leading edge IT organization
- Demonstrated success building and leading teams
- Performance engineering and capacity planning background
- Strong engineering fundamentals (networking, network services, operating systems) and experience leading teams running Network Services such as DNS
- Leading development life cycle processes and best practices, esp. in the areas of deployment automation and monitoring
- Experience with the deployment and usage of monitoring systems and experience with forecasting and capacity planning systems
- Leading software development organizations in a "DevOps" model and experience with distributed systems at scale
