Product Manager - Cambridge, United Kingdom - arm limited
Description
Job Description
Job Overiew
For developers building software products on Arm, integration of tools for code generation, modelling, debug, and performance analysis into commonly used editors is crucial for productivity. The development environment is central to product suites such as Arm Keil MDK, and Arm's ecosystem partners also depend on quality tooling for their customers. Increasingly, developers configure their own development environment rather than use an IDE, an approach that Arm encourages and facilitates. Arm focuses on tools that are relevant to languages and libraries that interface to the architecture or facilitate connectivity to Arm-based devices.
Your mission:
You will lead the product management for Arm's development environment integrations, focusing on Microsoft Visual Studio Code extensions, but also taking a wider responsibility to discover where we need to create developer value in other editors.
Collaborating closely with our engineering and user experience teams, you will define the product strategy and roadmap. You'll also coordinate with product marketing colleagues to position editor and IDE tools for developers in Arm's key markets, including infrastructure, mobile, embedded and automotive.
By understanding the command line tools and utilities available across Arm and the wider industry, you'll devise appropriate integrations, prioritising them according to developer needs. You'll help to guide the engineering team on daily priorities and become an authority in our editor-based tools.
Responsibilities:
Product management: Define the vision, mission, strategy, and roadmap for development environment support. Work with lead partners and developers to ensure that you're delivering a roadmap that brings value to the end user. You will also be responsible for product ownership.
Problem discovery: Create a clear framing and justification for the most important problems that should be addressed to transform the development experience. Coordinate with Arm's user experience team on regular developer testing.
Partnership & collaboration: Work across Arm, our partnership and wider developer communities to nurture collaboration, build trust, and encourage engagement.
Innovation & continuous improvement: Step forward and bring your ideas. Be prepared to embrace ideas from others. Be ready and quickly adapt to changing dynamics and feedback.
"Nice to Have" skills and experience:
Functional Knowledge:

Continuous Improvement:
In Return:
This will be a fast paced environment with opportunities to flex your strategic and innovative thinking muscles. You'll be well supported to grow your knowledge and capabilities, with extensive opportunities to broaden your network across Arm
Join us in this great opportunity to shape the future of our technology ecosystems by driving the adoption of ground-breaking technologies and empowering developers to create innovative applications based on Arm
