Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support.
When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Physical Security Lead.You'll report into the Security Business Manager and be a core part of the overall security and safety service, seeking a safe and secure working environment.
Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home.We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.
***:The Role
:
You'll engage with other internal functions to help provide a safe and secure workplace environment for SZC staff, contractors, visitors, and the local community.
You'll be collaborating with security leadership to determine the risk appetite and physical security needs for SZC, and ensure SZC physical security risks are monitored and updated when required and the preparation of physical security submissions to support business case, outputs, and benefits.
You'll support, or assist in governmental reviews, internal corporate evaluations, or assessments to determine the overall effectiveness of security processes.
You'll be responsible for monitoring the progress of the installation and/or replacement of security designs and systems for SZC.
You'll ensure SZC physical security risks are monitored and updated when required. You will be able to support the SZC Security team with other tasks as required.
The Skills
:
You'll have knowledge and experience of physical security controls delivery in compliance with regulatory (ONR, NPSA) guidelines.
You'll also have knowledge and experience of general or transitional service agreements for critical national infrastructure.
You'll have use in-depth knowledge of the security discipline and analytical thinking to develop, execute, sustain, and uphold security guidelines policies, standards, and strategies.
You'll be great at working independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent people and communications skills - both written and verbal.
Good computer literacy skills, with a working knowledge of MS Office.
