    Director of Planning - Build Your Own Consultancy
    London / Bristol / Manchester
    £60,000 - £65,000 + bonus

    Position Overview:


    As the Director of Planning, you will have the autonomy to establish and manage your own consultancy, focusing on planning services.

    This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in client acquisition and a passion for shaping the future of planning initiatives.

    Successful candidates will have the opportunity to build and lead a team of three experts while enjoying a competitive salary, target-related bonuses, and flexible working arrangements.



    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
    • Drive business growth through client acquisition, meeting and exceeding set targets for your consultancy.
    • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of three planning professionals.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across locations (Manchester, Bristol, and Central London) to ensure the successful execution of planning projects.
    • Shape the strategic direction of your consultancy and contribute to the overall success of the company.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in planning consultancy with a strong client portfolio.
    • In-depth knowledge of planning regulations and processes in the UK.
    • MUST - be a member of the RTPI
    • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset and a demonstrated ability to drive business growth.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

    Benefits:

    • Competitive salary ranging from £60,000 to £65,000.
    • Target-related bonus structure, offering the potential for significant additional earnings monthly.
    • Flexible working hours, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm.
    • Freedom to choose how often you travel into the office (Manchester, Bristol, and Central London).
    • Opportunity to establish and grow your own consultancy, shaping its success.
    Experience in a planning consultancy or local authority is a must. Please note that applications won't be considered without the criteria being met.
