Merrylands Primary School and Nursery has an exciting opportunity for a full time SENDCo/Lead Teacher for Autism Spectrum Conditions to join our fantastic team in September 2024.

Pay Range: MPR/UPR with SEN allowance

Merrylands Primary School and Nursery is located in Cumberland Drive, Laindon, Basildon. We are one of ten schools which form the Berlesduna Academy Trust ( where the vision is to create and foster a culture of high aspiration, enjoyment for learning, academic success and lifelong skills amongst all pupils, regardless of their social, economic or cultural background.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic SENDCo/Lead Teacher for ASC to be responsible for the provision of ASC in our Autism Hub and SEND within the school to support our Inclusion Manager.

We are looking for a person who:
· has significant knowledge and has specialised qualifications in autism spectrum conditions
· has demonstratable experience of supporting children with SEND and ASC
· has high expectations of the children and themselves with a passion for raising standards and attainment
· has an engaging teaching style which enthuses and motivates the children to learn
· works well as part of a team and has a commitment to improving and developing their own practice
