- Set and operate various machines associated with the manufacturing process
- May be required to carry out manual production / packing operations.
- Accurately record information relating to scrap, downtime, and machine issues.
- Have a knowledge & understanding of shop orders
- Collection & checking of materials to be used in the production process
- Compliance with SOP's / work instructions associated with each process
- Participate and conform to 5's activities
- Completion of all relevant Safety and Quality Checks on Process and Product in accordance with Stanley Black and Decker Safety and Quality standards.
- Asset care of assigned machinery (Simple, routine machine checks and maintenance tasks)
- Any other reasonable tasks/duties to aid the efficient running of the
- department.
- Hearing, Eye and safety footwear PPE to be worn at all times.
- Handling of oily and sometimes sharp components.
- Artificial light all day.
- Ambient Temperature can vary from Hot to Cold dependent upon the Position of Machinery and Time of Year.
- On feet majority of the day
- Lifting required
- Must have safety awareness and participate in ensuring the working environment is kept in a safe and clean condition.
- Must have good understanding of English and Mathematics
- Must have a mechanical aptitude
- Mechanical apprenticeship in a FMCG environment would be advantageous but not essential
- Previous experience of working in a production / fast paced manufacturing environment would be an advantage
