Are you a passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a flair for IT? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join a primary school in Salisbury as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant teaching ICT.

This part-time position (4 mornings a week) offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of our primary school students.


Key Responsibilities:

IT Instruction: Deliver engaging and innovative IT lessons to primary school students, fostering a love for technology and digital literacy.

Support Classroom Teachers: Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate technology into the curriculum, providing additional support to ensure effective learning experiences.

Small Group Sessions: Conduct targeted small group sessions to address the varying levels of IT proficiency among students, ensuring personalised attention and progress.

Resource Development: Assist in the development of IT resources and materials that align with the primary school curriculum, promoting a creative and stimulating learning environment.

IT Skills Enhancement: Identify areas for IT skills enhancement among students and work towards bridging any gaps through tailored interventions.

Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student progress in IT skills and provide constructive feedback to both students and classroom teachers, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.


Qualifications and Skills:


  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience in a primary school setting.
  • Strong proficiency in IT with the ability to teach a range of IT skills to primary school students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.
  • A collaborative approach to working with teachers and staff to enhance the overall learning environment.
  • Passion for education, technology, and fostering a positive learning experience for students.
