Metalis are working with a well-established specialist in their field as they look to recruit a
Design Engineer.Having worked on a number of award winning and well documented projects at the forefront of their industry there is no better time to join this
forward-thinking engineering firm.
This is a
Monday - Friday role with the primary function of designing hydraulic and pumping equipment.

You will have a great working
knowledge of Inventor 3D and 2D AutoCAD as well as
fabrication and Machining processes.Total Package for this position is
up to £60K depending on experience, this will be made up of
Salary, Company Car, Pension & Private Medical.

Main Duties:

Developing designs which adhere to technical specs.
Reviewing and checking of paperwork including Drawings, Design Calcs, Compliance checks & Colleagues work.
Involvement in choosing SubCon workers and delegating roles as and when needed.
Conducting Risk Assessments.
Managing Mechanical Projects from Cradle to Grave.
Ensure company standards are always maintained.
Regular attendance of Senior Management meetings and helping to steer company direction.
Conducting Performance reviews, Disciplinary & Appraisals as and when needed.

About You:

A brilliant working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D
A brilliant working knowledge of Inventor 3D CAD Packages.
Prior experience working with Hydraulic & Pumping equipment.
Understanding of Fabrication of Machining Processes.
Understanding of Moving parts (motors, counter levers etc.) within your design work.
