    Description

    Multi-Skilled Engineer with Electrical Bias

    Are you a talented engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a knack for electrical systems? Join our clients dynamic team at a leading food manufacturing company in Preston We're seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Multi-Skilled Engineer with an Electrical Bias.

    • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, rotating between day shifts, afternoon shifts, and night shifts.
    • Thrive in a collaborative environment where your skills and expertise are valued.
    • Contribute to the production of high-quality food products that reach consumers nationwide.

    • Competitive salary of £48,000 per annum offered, with overtime available and paid at time and a half.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of production machinery.
    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, and control panels.
    • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards to maintain a safe working environment.

    Desired Skills and Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong electrical background with knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and instrumentation.
    • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
