    ~ Fixed Term 1 year Contract (extension pending funding). Learning Network West is a unique organisation, supporting Social Work Education and developing practice learningopportunities across the West of Scotland.

    We work closely with HEI and Local Authority funding partners acrossthe West of Scotland to fulfil three core functions:

    the Mental Health Officer Award Programme, The ProfessionalDevelopment Award in Practice Learning, and social work student placement matching and development.

    As part ofthis existing work, the Network is working closely with stakeholders, including Scottish Government, SSSC andour partners, to ensure continued contribution and commitment to the on-going development of social workeducation in Scotland.

    The post holder will representLearning Network West as a conduit in Social Work Education across Scotland.

    Co-ordination of candidate selection, including standardisation between SQA centres, cohort adverts, facilitating information session, reading all applications and chairing selection panel, writing decision letters and providing one to one feedback for unsuccessful candidates.

    Development and review of course materials, including assessment instruments, methodologies and portfolio, handbook, selection materials, teaching materials, policies and strategy documents.

    To be cognisant of legislative, policy and practice developments and ensure programme continues to meet the broad needs or partners, regulatory and validating bodies.

    Co-ordinating and tutoring on a taught programme (covering topics including assessment, supervision, adult learning, reflection, emotional intelligence, evidence based practice, leadership, evaluation and change processes).

    Producing annual quality assurance monitoring, external verification and systems verification reports.

    Collating, analysing and producing a range of monitoring information for stakeholders, including the West Learning partnership (12 local authorities and 5 HEI's).

    Chair Practice Learning Award Management Group and undertake any tasks allocated – over the next year this will likely include the implementation of revised Group Award Specification (following recent SQA review) and subsequent amendments to portfolio handbook and taught materials.

    Co-ordination and investigation of complaints and misconduct procedures.

    The SCQF brings together quality assured assessed learningthroughout life whether gained in school, workplace, college, university or online into one system forrecognising achievement.

    As a small staff team of thirteen with nationalcoverage, we also operate a Flexible Working Policy and offer hybrid working.

    Your role will be critical to the relaunch of our transnationalconsultancy services offer promoting the SCQF globally, whilst also maintaining high standards of qualityassurance for our credit rating bodies and contributing to capacity building and RPL activities.

    To be successful in this role you will need to be familiar with at least one aspect of the lifelonglearning sector, have some knowledge and understanding of qualifications frameworks and/or quality assuranceprinciples and ideally have a proven track record in business development and/or project management.

    Travel, including overseas, may be required as part of the role.

    You will support workclosely with the CEO, providing crucial and confidential executive support to the CEO and Chair whilstdelivering key administrative functions necessary for the smooth operation of the organisation, the office andits services.

    You will also supervise a part time (term time) Administrator.

    To be successful in this role you will be highly organised with experience of working in an administrative orexecutive support role and enjoy managing projects that maximise operational efficiency.

    As well as our outreach service in Edinburgh, we are expanding our service provision in Glasgow and are looking forpeople who can make a major contribution to our plans for innovation and growth and who have the commitment andenthusiasm to contribute to the work of our support services to Deaf people throughout Edinburgh andGlasgow.

    We will provide on the job training with the opportunity to complete formal qualifications in social care.

    If youhave knowledge of BSL, or are a BSL user that is a bonus, however we will provide training if not.

    You will be leading a team to support *deaf people living in the community.

    As well as leading a team you will belone working in the community, delivering a person-centred service supporting deaf people within their ownliving environment, to enable them to fully participate in the decisions affecting their lives, ensuring thatwherever possible, service users benefit from informed choice, control, and independence.

    This will include bothactivities at home and within the community which will promote independence and social inclusion.

    By working together, you will ensure that a consistent,high quality support service is provided to deaf service users in their own homes, and that staff are supportedto develop and maintain such a service.

    Due to the nature of this role, its essential that you can drive and have access to a car.

    *deaf: this to includes Deaf Sign Language users, deafened, deafblind and hard of hearing people.
    To actively monitor and develop individual and team performance by ensuring effective supervision and PerformanceDevelopment Reviews/Reports (PDRs).

    The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering our Energy and Efficiency outreach project toGlasgow and West Dunbartonshire and will provide a specialist service to people who often experience complexsocial circumstances, using agreed, person-centred principles for monitoring, auditing and evaluating programmedelivery

    Knowledge and understanding ofthe environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private andvoluntary sectors in tackling them.

    Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the provision of advice tolow-income households in energy efficiency or related fields.
    Excellent networking, recording and information managementskills.
    An ability andwillingness to travel extensively within the local community and wider area.

    Experience of project-based work in the fields of energy efficiency, community development and regeneration,housing, health, social policy or consumer issues.
