    Department Overview:

    The Operations Transaction Reporting Team is responsible for overseeing the daily Transaction Reporting processes, which include transaction reporting to the FCA (Mifid II), SFTR, EMIR and HKMA. The team works closely with the New Business team, Regulatory Technology, Regulatory Affairs and Compliance to ensure that any improvements to existing controls, or changes related to new regulatory reporting obligations are successfully implemented.

    Job Description:

    The role will require someone with both strong Transaction Reporting experience in an oversight BAU environment and someone who is comfortable with working directly with stakeholders across the firm, planning, undertaking analysis, documenting business requirements, coordinating and participating in testing. In the first instance, the candidate's focus will be to assist with testing and analysis of the EMIR Refit implementation.

    From a BAU perspective, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate experience of oversight and control of the daily reporting obligations, to identify control gaps and weaknesses in the current process by reviewing current reporting logic and data integrity testing. Additionally, to execute the test plans for system enhancements for MIFID II, SFTR, HKMA & EMIR.

    The candidate will report into the Head of Transaction Reporting.

    Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

    • EMIR Refit
    • Definition and execution of EMIR Refit UAT Testing
    • Post go-live EMIR Refit issue resolution
    • Assist with definition and set up of EMIR Refit reconciliations and control framework
    • Definition and documentation of EMIR Operational processes

    BAU:

    • Oversight and control of the BAU Transaction Reporting obligations including Mifid II, SFTR, HKMA and EMIR
    • Manage work-stream deliverables and support project leads
    • Monitor progress against program plans and milestones, identify actual and potential delays, report status and work with key stakeholders to address and resolve risks/issues
    • Ensure issues/concerns from regions are represented in global forums and adequate support is provided.
    • Escalate all issues to the Head of Transaction Reporting and other stakeholders as appropriate.
    • Build and maintain good relationships with the Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and Operations stakeholders across the firm.
    • Monitoring of regular Management Information to identify trends.
    • Identify and deliver control and efficiency improvements.

    Qualifications/ Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years Transaction Reporting experience within Operations.
    • An understanding of upcoming EMIR Refit Regulatory framework.
    • Experience in UAT planning and delivery, sharing results and circulating regular status updates.
    • Thorough Knowledge of Transaction Reporting requirements including MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR and HKMA
    • Working knowledge of trade and lifecycle processing for in scope products, and associated controls. Experience of enhancing Transaction Reporting processes including reconciliation optimization
    • Experience of UnaVista, DTCC, CMRS/Report Hub and Pirum/IHS Markit are advantages.
    • A team player who is comfortable interacting with staff at all levels, including presenting to senior management up to MD level
    • A self-starter, who can work both independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills
    • Able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills and confident to challenge and propose new ideas
    • Control minded and ability to escalate, where appropriate.
