We are pleased to announce this incredibly exciting opportunity as a Senior Cargo Sales Agent. This role is in the Qatar Airways United Kingdom and Ireland Cargo Team based at our office in Heathrow.


The role:

  • Contribute towards meeting and exceeding the UK & Ireland revenue and tonnage targets.
  • Use knowledge of the market, customers and QR services to provide tailored quotations for ad hoc business, whilst maximizing profitability.
  • Proactive sales calls and follow up of inbound calls to hunt for and secure business.
  • Create awareness of QR Cargo products and services among existing and potential customers.
  • Assist with acquiring and retaining new business and customers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to find the right solutions for our customers
  • Liaise closely with Pricing and Revenue Management teams to secure competitive pricing.
  • Analyse data and keep uptodate with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Accurately maintain account data in the CRM tool and record opportunities and activity
  • Support QR digitalization and innovation initiatives

Qualifications:


About you:

  • Minimum of a High School Qualification; Higher education preferred
  • 3 years jobrelated experience in the airline or the freight forwarding industry.
  • Experience in Cargo Sales is essential; Inside Sales preferred.
  • Familiarity with pricing negotiation and upselling
  • Experience of building effective relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to analyse data to spot trends and proactively identify new business opportunities
  • Team player, high degree of initiative and motivation
  • Structured mindset and approach to work and ability to work under time pressure
  • Excellent communicator with fluency in English language, both written and verbal
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Word / Excel / Outlook
