This is a hybrid role, working from Holyrood, and from home.This is an excellent opportunity to join the Public Engagement Services Office (PESO) as Deputy Head of the Office.
Formed in January 2023, PESO brings together a team of 40 people from 4 service areas including Visitor Services, Education Services, Public Information, BSL and Gaelic.
They offer professional expertise and delivery in their areas, always with the same goal in mind – helping the people of Scotland understand and connect with their Parliament.
As Deputy Head of PESO, you'll gain experience in leadership and change management, working with the Head of PESO to lead and support a team embedding a values-based culture of learning, innovating, creating and collaborating.
You'll promote positive and open communication, as well as our commitment to diversity and inclusion.You'll deputy lead and manage the Office, ensuring the core services to the public as visitors, through schools, through languages and via enquiries are delivered.
As PESO concludes its work reviewing its structures and services, you'll support the Office Head in this process and embedding the new ways of working.
This includes leading and shaping innovations in how the public and data influence the development and delivery of services.You'll also have experience working collaboratively on service development and delivery and be comfortable leading teams in environments that require forward planning.
As a leader you'll be resilient and inspire colleagues to deliver high performance results in line with our values.You'll have excellent mentoring and coaching skills and be passionate about contributing to an inclusive and collaborative working culture which values diversity and encourages openness.
