Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our Stroke Early Supported team.
This with provide any candidate with the experience of working alongside our friendly and supportive community team which consists of Nurse, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist, Psychologist and Rehabilitation Technicians.
The Stroke ESD team is part of the wider stroke pathway within Frimley Park Hospital, which is the hyper-acute unit for the area.
You must be able to travel between patient's homes within the community.

Working alongside the Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist in a clinical role as a key member of the Stroke ESD team in a developing specialist role, to deliver evidence-based clinical services.
Placement educator for Speech and Language Therapy students.To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team at Frimley Park Hospital, providing evidence based speech and language therapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a designated group of patients.
Ability to travel between patient's homes in the communityRecognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification
Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
Acute/ Rehab stroke unit experience
Evidence of goal setting in stroke rehab setting
Completion of Newly Qualified Practitioner competencies
Demonstrated post graduate training
Worked in community setting
Able to build effective working relationships, network and assert views, sometime in challenging situations
Experience of designing and implementing training packages to others
Good working knowledge of software such as Excel and Powerpoint
