We are currently recruiting for an
Accounts Assistant/Credit Controller to join a well established company in
Leighton Buzzard. This is a full time position and is fully office based, there is no remote working.


Main responsibilities:


  • Participate in AR weekly management reviews and be responsible for action points which arise from them related to role.
  • Collect monies due both reactively and pro actively to maintain and improve outstanding Debtor Days and aged profile of ledger to reduce bad debt provision through telephone and written correspondence.
  • To assist in new accounts setup processes ensuring that account details are set up accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To assist when required with statement production.
  • To collect, open and circulate Company post received.
  • Billing for contracts, accurate and timely production is required.
  • Dispute/Query recording, escalation and monitoring is maintained in a timely fashion and against KPI's.
  • Account reconciliation remittance coding.
  • Customer account maintenance, maintain account records ensuring accuracy and notes are maintained.
  • New account set up ensuring details are accurate and complete.
  • Proactive management of AR ledger to achieve goals.

Required skills:


  • Good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of SAGE SOP and Billing modules
  • Relevant experience in a credit control environment
  • Organisational and numeracy skills and initiative.
  • Ability to work methodically and accurately.
  • Strong communicator.
