You would be stepping into a
brand-new role, supporting our L&D Manager (the wonderful Angie),
in a role that is 50% coaching and the rest of your time focused on
putting together Learning Curriculums,
managing the LMS software/content and the opportunity to get involved in delivering wellness training.


As a chartered accountancy practice,
there is a huge emphasis on CPD, and employees follow a structured career path,
you get to put your Level 5 Coaching Qual to good use and do all the fun stuff supporting and guiding individuals through their career stages in
1:1 coaching sessions and involvement in appraisal meetings.

The focus is preparing them to step into a more senior role, with leadership responsibilities, and working closely with the department leaders to support individuals' technical development.


If your ears pricked up at coaching, you will get to do it in bucket loads,
manging your own portfolio of CBW team members, those who have been identified as having training needs or for 'fast track' career development, coordinating and undertaking development review meetings, setting goals, writing career development plansand logging progress ensuring all development discussions are recorded on
Cornerstone our LMS.


You will get the opportunity to
support individuals across all areas of the firm, supporting the development of our trainees and qualified/chartered individuals within the Audit and Accounting teams, Tax, Corporate Recovery & Insolvency,Financial Planning, HR, Marketing and the Business Support teams.


Because this is a new role,
you get to play to your strengths, if coaching is more your bag than standing up and delivering training, that is all good, our HR team are great at delivering wellbeing training and some of the departments reallyenjoy getting stuck in and delivering systems training too.


Let's Talk about Cornerstone. It's a fairly recent addition to the firm and with excess to 5,000+ training sessions,
the LMS systems evolvement will fall under your remit, your experience of working with a LMS will be put to good use whilst working with the departments and Angie putting together curriculums and online courses (this isn't an E-Learning rolethough).

We work a 35 hour week on a hybrid basis (2 days home, 3 days in the office) and hours are flexible between 7am - 7pm

As with any job role we think there are some things required to get you off to a good start, for this role these include: -

  • Level 5 coaching qualification
  • CIPD Level 3 in People Practice Experience for Learning and Development
  • Experience of working with a LMS
  • Cornerstone would be brilliant
  • Experience of writing and reviewing career development plans
  • Professional service sector experience
  • Accountancy, Legal, Banking, Financial Services, Surveying etc
  • Ability to think outside of the box and to see the bigger picture
  • Confident in building relationships and rapport with a variety of individuals
  • Proven interest in technology and online learning


  • Strong IT skills

  • Word, Excel, MS Teams, PowerPoint and LMS
