    The Physiotherapy Service is looking for a Therapist to join our developing Young Adult Hip Musculoskeletal Team.

    You will be working alongside our Advance Physiotherapy Practitioner for young adult hips to provide the physiotherapy pathway for the management of hip pain in young adults.


    This will be an opportunity for Physiotherapists who are now ready to specialise further in their career to develop your knowledge and skills in the assessment and management of a variety of young adult hip pain related conditions.

    The role will be split across MSK Outpatients and Orthopaedics Inpatients to enable you to support the pathway of these patients in its entirety.

    The role will include providing a high standard physiotherapy service to patients with Neuromusculoskeletal Hip problems. Working within the Orthopaedic team, looking after a mix of post-op presentations alongside the Young Adult Hip Orthopaedic Service.


    The team is friendly and dedicated towards the delivery of an excellent service for all our users, as well as constantly looking at better ways to provide a service.


    You will be strongly supported by and expert Practitioner in their field in learning new skills and gaining additional training.

    You will be required to participate in our orthopaedic twilight and weekend services as part of our Orthopaedic rotas.

    Within OH Physiotherapy, we receive staff self-referrals that lead to physiotherapy treatments, workshops, Display screen equipment assessments (DSE), Work environment assessments and supporting staff with sign posting into other services.


    You will be strongly supported in learning new skills and gaining additional training to support your personal development for the post.


    You will have proven knowledge and skills in the management of musculoskeletal therapy and be expected to participate in service development, student training and staff appraisal, as well as manage a caseload of patients.

    You will also participate on our Orthopaedic weekend rota.

    Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
    Evidence of relevant postgraduate level education / CPD

    The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or Professional network
    Experience working as a Band 5 in a broad range of specialities including, Elderly Care, Neurological, Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal conditions
    Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team and/or MDT
    Band 6 Musculoskeletal or Orthopaedic experience
    Experience of working in a Community setting
    Good knowledge and understanding of Orthopaedic hip preservation procedures
    Administrative and computer skills
