_Macildowie Recruitment and Retention_ have partnered with a multi-national within the precision engineering sector to help them recruit a Senior Buyer.

Following years of sustained growth, our client are now looking to add to their growing team inThurmaston (Leicester).


The Role

  • Oversight of various areas of direct spend.
  • Remit: 40% Tactical 60% Strategic.
  • Working as part of a 5 person team.
  • Responsible for various areas of direct spend: commodities, components, parts.
  • Working closely alongside other internal stakeholders.
  • Leading on endtoend bid/tender management processes.
  • Developing lasting relationships with suppliers.
  • Continuously looking for new ways to improve.
  • Compile data which pertains to supplier performance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Has 3/4+ years experience within Procurement.
  • CIPS, preferable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willing, cando attitude.

Details

  • Salary: 45k 50k.
  • Flexible hours.
  • 5 days on site.
