    Description

    Moving and Handling Training consultant - Freelance role

    • Part-Time - Home-based with multi-client site visits

    • Salary up to £40,000 full-time equivalent, i.e. £24,000 part-time hours, for 'bank' Adhoc training sessions.

    • Lead, develop, and deliver manual handling training to different sectors' delegates, assessing them to obtain certifications and qualifications meeting OfQual standards.
    • Knowledge and experience of HOP 6 and SPH delivery required due to job nature.
    • ROLE:
    • Deliver moving and handling training across sectors
    • Maintain professional standards and CPD
    • Assess learners and complete relevant assessment documents according to standards
    • Identify new products and services related to moving and handling practices
    • Provide occupational health and safety advice to departments and colleagues
    • Qualifications:
    • Relevant healthcare qualification at Level 6 OR occupational competence in health and social care at Level 4 (essential)
    • Minimum Level 4 qualification in Safer People Handling (essential)
    • Teaching qualification like PTTLS or equivalent Level 3 (essential)
    • D32/D33, A1/TAQA (preferred)
    • Qualification in Health ergonomic/ Backcare management (preferred)
    • Level 3 Health and Safety e.g. Nebosh General Certificate (preferred)

    Essentials:

    • Strong background in moving and handling training and development field.
    • Expertise in delivering training to diverse groups in varied people-handling environments
    • Experience in designing moving and handling training courses aligned with best practices and Healthcare developments
    • Experience in mandatory training for care sector and NHS
    • Delivery of interactive and enjoyable training methods
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent training and presentation skills

    This role may be suitable for a trainer, training consultant, L&D manager, people development partner, training officer, facilitator, or care home trainer.

    Location: This role is home-based and commutable from Birmingham, Bristol, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Liverpool, and other areas.
