    Bookkeeper - Construction

    Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

    Location: Sevenoaks

We're on the lookout for a talented Bookkeeper to join our clients team, a leading construction company specializing in interiors. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we're seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to help us manage the financial aspects of our projects with precision and efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Maintain detailed financial records and reconcile accounts.
    • Process payroll and maintain employee records in compliance with regulations.
    • Monitor project budgets and expenses, providing regular reports to management.
    • Assist with financial forecasting and budget planning for upcoming projects.
    • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory documents.
    • Collaborate closely with project managers and interior designers to ensure financial goals align with project objectives.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within the construction or interior design industry.
    • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
    • Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred but not required).
