Here on Cove Ward, we make it our priority to support those who experience mental health difficulties in later life in any way possible to improve their quality of life in a person cantered holistic way.

Our team is made up of psychiatrists, mental health nurses, healthcare support workers, psychologists, dietician, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and pharmacists, and we all work together to provide the best outcome possible for our service users.

We strive to explore new and innovative ideas to improve our service in addition to the evidence-based care we deliver on a daily basis.

The role of Band 6 Charge Nurse will involve clinically leading and managing a team of staff nurses and health care assistants.

You will support the Ward Manager with some operational duties and help develop and maintain clinical standards.

You will be innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic with a passion in delivering the highest quality of care and continually working to improve the standards of care offered.

You will be offered a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within an acute admission ward for people with varied mental health diagnosis.

You will be supported to gain expertise in older adult mental health Care through training and development.

Cove ward offers a unique learning opportunity through its regular team days and band 6 development days, involving bespoke targeted learning.

This covers topics in relation to physical health care, mental health care, older adult and inpatient nursing skills.

You will be offered monthly supervision, with a specific focus on your health and wellbeing, in addition to any developmental requests.
