    An educational institution globally recognized for excellence in various fields is now looking for a XR Consultant to lead their interactive team with a focus on pioneering learning experiences and driving innovative projects.

    It's a brilliant role within an environment where collaboration is at the heart of all they do. You'll work across cross functional teams and departments to deliver impactful projects that revolutionize how they engage with immersive technology and interactive media.

    The Role

    • Spearheading the development of cutting-edge XR solutions, driving immersive experiences and pushing the boundaries of virtual and augmented reality.
    • Oversee the development of diverse interactive solutions like VR, AR, and 360-degree experiences
    • collaborating with various project teams, blending managerial, creative, and technical skills to enhance learning experiences
    • Guide staff and affiliated developers on VR, AR, and gaming engines for educational purposes.
    • Identify skill gaps and contribute to training initiatives.
    • Collaborate with project producers to plan XR workflows.
    • Manage R&D efforts to introduce innovative solutions.
    • Foster collaboration with XR developers across the university.
    • Promote best practices within the XR community.
    • Support post-production activities and provide guidance to team members.

    The ideal candidate for this role should possess a degree or equivalent experience, along with a strong proficiency in Unity/Unreal engine development. Previous experience in managing OR mentoring XR practitioners is essential, as well as familiarity with VR/AR hardware and XR audio workflows. An understanding of virtual production and mixed media, coupled with proficiency in C++ and C#, is highly desirable.

    The XR consultant should also have experience with XR UI design and a good grasp of 3D modelling principles. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are crucial, along with excellent time management and communication abilities. The ability to effectively supervise and coordinate team efforts is also essential for success in this position.
