    We are looking for an Employment Advisor to join Newground Together in the Employment and Skill Lancashire team, in this exciting new opportunity.

    As an Employment Advisor you will be supporting people that have been out of work for over 12 months, addressing barriers they currently have, preventing them from accessing or securing paid employment.

    Whether that be training and development, or personal barriers linked to their current circumstancesRequirementsOutline of Key responsibilities for the Employment Advisor ...To assist in the delivery of new and existing projects that progress the organisational objectives in relation to employmentWork to and achieve set targets, i.e.

    numbers on non-regulated activity and job outcomesTo determine and implement effective approaches which will help our clients develop confidence, overcome barriers and achieve successful transitionsEngage with local business and employers to understand business needs and promote our client base and services.

    To actively recruit clients into the employability projects, retain their engagement and encourage them to participate in workshops, job clubs and 1:1's to raise aspirations, challenge them emotionally enabling them to reach their full potentialIdentify and harness local, regional and national initiatives that deliver new opportunities access employment/training opportunities.

    Also, you will deliver group training to develop participants towards employabilityDevelop working relationships with other professionals working in the field of employment, welfare and training sectorWe Are Looking For Someone Who Has...Full UK drivers licenceRelevant experience or relevant qualifications e.g.

    IAG level 2 or Coaching or Mentoring qualificationExperience of working with clients aged 16+ years, and supporting them to gain employment or training OR experience of working with clients to help them with progression in their lifeEvidence of effectively working with clients who face multiple barriers preventing them from engaging and participating, on short and long term interventionsHave a proven record in developing contacts and engaging with local business to source employment opportunitiesExperience of problem solving and working on cases until completion and maintaining and managing a varied caseloadAbility to uses your own initiative and meet performance targetsExperience of negotiating and advocating successfully one to one, by telephone and in writing, & face to faceBenefitsIn return, we are offering the successful candidate in the Employment Advisor role:

    Salary:
    £26,862 to £30,465 per annumAnnual salary increment increases27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidaysA flexible working environment, with a range of family friendly policiesYou will be working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
