About the Role_

Based onsite at HMP Stocken (Category C prison) you will be working with small groups of prisonbased learners. Your session delivery will encompass the whole range of English and Maths Functional Skills qualifications, to develop their practical ability in skills, building knowledge and shaping behaviours while supporting them with their longterm goals and aspirations._

Duties

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: _
Assist in the development and delivery of engaging high quality, exciting, fun and innovative training programmes to learners within the prison.
Work cooperatively with partners and delivery staff to develop the education and training programmes to retain practical relevance
Deliver qualifications to participants and manage the associated portfolios, paperwork and assessment materials
Create lesson plans and develop resources to provide a varied and differentiated delivery programme, leading to positive outcomes

About You

Hold a Teaching Qualification or equivalent (e.g. CTLLS, PTTLS, AET)
Level 3 Maths and English, or equivalent
Experience in delivering Functional Skills training programmes and qualifications for the unemployed
ICT literate to intermediate level and confident in using the Office 365 suite, including: Access, Word, PowerPoint & Excel
Fluent in the English language
Proven track record of meeting challenging contractual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets
Possess high level communication, interpersonal and presentational skills
Previous experience of delivering engaging and meaningful learning activities and training workshops within an employment and skills sector
Possess excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
