    Title:
    Installation Engineer / I&C Technicians.

    Shift / Hours:
    Full-Time Monday to Friday

    Perks:

    Salary:
    DOE upto 38k


    Overview of Role:
    Our client is looking to expand their team and hire a further 2 x Installation and Commissioning Technicians.

    This role is suited to technicians who have a strong all round technical competence, strong interpersonal skills, and can demonstrate excellent initiative, analytical and problem solving qualities.

    This position will expose the candidate to many aspects of SCADA, telemetry, Instrumentation and communication technologies.

    The candidate must have excellent customer facing skills, work well under pressure while demonstrating a professional manner across all aspects of the role.

    Skills and experience that is required for this role, are: - * Qualified Electrician – level 3 NVQ and 18th Edition

    • Minimum of 3 experience in installation of instrumentation, communication and electrical products
    • Considerable knowledge of electrical and electronic devices, such as circuits, switches, breakers, wiring, and of safety precautions and hazards related to electricity
    • Understanding of communication networks principles, in particular radio spectrum for BTS and distributed radio network for utilities sector – can carry out accurate RF surveys at remote sites
    • Configuration of 3rd party equipment via system interface using laptop
    • Telemetry outstation and PLC installation, configuration and verification experience – desirable
    • Considerable knowledge of working practices, techniques and processes for equipment related to the calibration of instruments, controls and gauges used within the Water Industry – desirable.
    • Understanding/appreciation of network security requirements when working across critical national infrastructure

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform technical support duties, including device/system configuration and troubleshooting of customer issues at a site level.
    • Installation of the client's products to a very high level of quality, to budget and on time.
    • Follow manufactures guidelines for installation and maintenance of equipment supplied by the client
    • Adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments
    • Wearing of required PPE at all times
    • Obtain customer sign off for all installations
    • Resolution of general support incidents in a timely fashion, either remotely or on site
    • Participate in out of hours support if required
    • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with Customers
    • Work as part of a team and also by themselves
