- Provide full financial management for the Trust.
- Play a pivotal role producing and assisting with the financial strategy for the organisation.
- Manage a small finance team, inclusive of dotted line responsibility for School Business Managers.
- Lead the internal and external audit.
- Production of the statutory accounts.
- Review and completion of the month end accounts.
- Liaise regularly with Principals and Headteachers of the schools.
- Produce the budgets for each school.
- Ensure the Trust is aligned to the regulations stated with the Academy Trust Handbook.
- Be responsible for all ESFA, HMRC and regulatory returns.
- You must hold a full CCAB or CGMA/CIMA qualification.
- At least 5 years experience overseeing a finance function within the Academy Trust sector.
- It is critical you have worked with Primary Schools within a Trust.
- You will have previous experience leading the financial external audit.
- Hold an ability to evidence involvement with financial strategy, budgeting and financial appraisals.
- You must have experience preparing statutory accounts.
- Ideally you will have a good understanding of the Academy Trust Handbook.
- Ideally you will have worked within a centralised MAT model.
- You must be comfortable working independently.
- It is important you have a working set up from home.
- People management experience is critical.
- You must have the willingness to meet with key stakeholders regularly.
- Ability to deputise for the CEO where required.
