    Description

    P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Test Engineer to join their team based in Norwich on a full-time, permanent basis.

    The Test Engineer will be responsible for testing a range of products and equipment to ensure it meets the engineering build standards and tolerances are within specification.

    The ability to test and diagnose faults on electro-mechanical systems is required to ensure the equipment is manufactured to the highest industry standards.

    Working as part of the Test Team but also required to work and communicate with other departments during production such as Mechanical Fitters, Test Engineers and Engineering.


    • Working in a modern manufacturing facility.
    • Pressurised role working to tight time schedules test complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
    • Ideally completed a recognised apprenticeship in electronics or electro-mechanical engineering.
    • Must be educated to a minimum of NVQ / City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline.
    • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules and circuit diagrams.
    • Proficient in soldering, crimping, lacing and splicing.
    • Competent in the use of electronic test equipment and able to follow complex test specifications.
    • Familiarity with a variety of Mil Spec Connectors, Cable Ident and Cable production techniques.
    • Assembly and testing/repair of PCBs
    • Report writing and email communications.
    • Must work at an acceptable pace to meet deadlines, without sacrificing H&S & Quality standards.
